Ally Bee knitwear is sourced, spun and knitted in Britain.
She uses small yarn batches from British herds of alpaca and British flocks of Bluefaced Leicester sheep. These limited production runs mean each knitted piece is ‘one of few’.
The yarn is processed at a small mill in Dorset. Phil Allen spins the yarn on machinery recalibrated to treat the fine hairs of alpaca. He sources and salvages his machinery from long established mills from Bradford to Biella in Italy. The result is a luxury yarn, on a par with cashmere and Merino. Ally incorporates this yarn into her beautifully designed knitwear.
“In a time of faster and faster fashion, Ally Bee offers a slower take on style. Exclusivity trumps homogeneity. Quality wins over quantity.”
