This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us and is part of our Terms and Conditions.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site incuding your name, address, phone number, email address and credit/debit card details. This includes information provided at the time of creating an account, subscribing to our newsletter, placing orders or requesting further services.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.
  • Details of your visits to our site and the resources that you access.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • We may ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

USE OF COOKIES

From time to time, we may collect anonymous information about your browsing behaviour on our site in order to improve our service to you.

We take your privacy seriously and the type of information that is collected by us and our trusted partners on our behalf is anonymous and does not include any personally identifiable information. In addition to assisting in making our site work more efficiently, cookies are used to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site.

This information is collected by using a cookie file which is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. If you register with us or if you continue to use our site, you agree to our use of cookies.

You may block cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse all or some cookies. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you visit our site.

We use cookies to offer personalized advertising. You can also opt-out of this at any time by clicking here. If you choose to opt-out, a cookie will be placed on your computer to indicate that no information is to be collected about you, (although you may still experience ads or pop-ups on your computer from other companies). Please note that you need to repeat this process for each browser and computer that you use. If you delete an opt-out cookie, you would need to repeat the process again to express your preference.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

THIS WEBSITE USES REMARKETING

This website uses various remarketing services (including Google AdWords, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook Ads) to advertise on third party websites (Google and social media) to previous visitors to our site.  This could mean that we advertise to previous visitors who haven’t completed a task on our site, for example fill in a form to make an enquiry. You may see this in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, a site in the Google Display Network, or your social media feed. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to target ads based on someone’s past visits to websites or social media. All such data collected will be used in accordance with our own privacy policy and the privacy policy of the remarketing service.

AdWords Remarketing is a Remarketing and Behavioral Targeting service provided by Google. It connects the activity of our website with the Adwords advertising network and the Doubleclick Cookie. You can opt out of cookie tracking here
